Since many years, TOTAL has developed partnerships with the major french racing stables in order the conceive tailor-made lubricants.

Exclusive products can then be formulated under confidentiality ! Heavily mobilized,  engineers continuously search for innovations and technical solutions which will make the difference. This way, TOTAL always improves further its lubricants and supports the affiliated car-makers leading technologies.

Each motorisation bearing its own properties, the challenge is to develop the lubricant which will allow the highest level of performances. Lubricants and oils (engine oils, greases, liquids for brakes ...)  are thus made-to-measure elaborated.

The knowledge of the lubricant's components properties (extract from oil,  synthetics basis, additives) is essential. The researchers measure and mix them in correct proportions according to the racing stables requirements.
